Founded in 1938 by Dr K.M.Munshi, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is today an All India Intellectual, Cultural and Educational Movement dedicated to the twin task of interpreting the age-old yet ageless message of our country, and of integrating our varied and vibrant culture with the changing needs of the present-day world.
Bhavan's large and growing extended family continues to grow. It steadfastly adheres to the Vedic ideal: "Let noble thoughts come to us from every side."
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir Ashti Branch was established on 1st July 2006 with 683 students and since its inception is constantly marching forward and achieving the highest level of excellence. The school campus was inaugurated on 14th April 2008 at the hands of Shri. Sarad India, Former Union Agriculture Minister. The school has a large and sprawling campus situated in a lush green and pollution-free environment.
The auspicious Bhumipujan of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti was performed on 16th January 2006 at the hands of Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu Shri. Banwarilalji Purohit, Trustee Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Worldwide and Chairman, Nagpur Kendra in the presence of Former Director Shri. T. G. L. Iyer (IPS Retired) and Executive Committee Members of Nagpur Kendra.
The foundation stone was laid on the 16th of January 2006 at the hands of Shri. Anil Deshmukh, Former Minister of Public works and Presided by Shri. Devendra Fadanvis, Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, in presence of Shri. Banwarilalji Purohit.
It imparts education from Nursery to Std. XII (Science and Commerce). The school has played a stellar role in actively contributing to the upgrading of standards and creating a culture to meet the need and interest of the society and the whole world.
The year 2016-17 has been a most special session with the school being bestowed with the " Kulapati Munshi Award for best school 2016" among all Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's School in India at the hands of the then Hon'ble Governor Of Assam and Meghalaya and present Hon'ble Governor of Tamil Nadu Shri. Banwarilalji Purohit at a glittering ceremony.
